Empower the village to raise the child.
EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE AND EDUCATION
All children deserve access to high-quality, stimulating, developmentally-appropriate early childhood care and education. Early intervention promotes healthy growth and development of children and their communities.
All children should live safe and stable lives, free from abuse and violence. We believe recognition and protection of children’s rights is essential towards ensuring human rights for all.
EMPOWERMENT OF WOMEN AND GIRLS
Women and girls must be allowed to advance themselves and their communities without discrimination, exploitation, or gender-based violence. Investing in women and girls is one of the most effective means of transforming society.
MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH
Women and children must have access to health interventions to ensure they physically and mentally thrive. We believe HIV/AIDS and other public health challenges must be addressed at every opportunity in order to ensure the well-being of individual women and children, as well as their communities.
ICRI believes that everyone should have access to quality, affordable emergency medical care. By establishing the Nepal Emergency Health Program, we aim to provide the necessary tools to help local doctors, health workers and community members improve existing emergency services. We plan to partner with emergency health clinics across the Kathmandu region to establish in-depth clinic and community emergency medical training programs, equip existing facilities with necessary supplies and materials and raise awareness.
GRASSROOTS COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
ICRI envisions a world in which all communities have access to the resources necessary to overcome poverty. Sustainability and self-sufficiency are core principles of every effort to improve the lives of children and families around the world.
